Michelle.

Michelle Dujardin is an artist, an author and a zen drawing practitioner. She has written and published the only book I know about zen drawing other than the ones written by Frederick Franck.

My teacher

Frederick Franck is my most important teacher in seeing and drawing. I have had other teachers, but none as clear, generous, enlighted, wise and humble as Frederick. This drawing is from his home in Warwick, NY 1988 where I was invited to stay after a workshop in zen-drawing.

Hagestad, our summer home

The old barn, with a hook on the side, as it looked when we bought the summer house 1989. Two years later a storm took down everything except the stone wall towards north and west.

From 1989. There still is a gate between the barn and the house, and the house looks the same plus a lot more plants clinging to it. Behind the door on the right were a toolshed, and behind the gate the garden begins.

A childs wheelbarrow. Work can be a game. Now the weelbarrow is abandoned. On top, an abandoned beehive.

Views blending into each other from our garden, a morning between heaven and earth.

Can you see the fly on the blue table, the bumble bees in the purple-blue lavender, the stearin on the ground from the romantic night before? (You can click on the pic to enlarge it).

Roses in all stages of life.

From the sauna "Ribban" in Malmö. A place off-shore for cultivation of the body and mind with water and fire.
